Surprised at all the 5 star reviews. for me it's just ok. I have to shave over the same spot several times (the blades seem recessed to far and do not make good contact with the skin). These do not compare with the famous name brand 3 blade razor. I do not get as close of a shave with these. the price is right but from now on I will pay the extra and get a better shave and their blades will last a lot longer since shaving with this Pace system its like shaving 5 times each shave with all of the times I have to shave over the same spot to get just a decent shave.
Klunky, but effective

Compared to the Mach3 Turbo I've been using, the Pace3 razor appears klunky (it's bulky and heavy) so my expectations were low. However, the Pace3 delivered a comfortable shave, the pivot head tracked my facial contours well and the blade rinsed clean. Subjectively, I thought the shave was not quite as smooth (or as close) as the Mach3 Turbo but felt my original prejudice might be coloring my judgement so I tried an objective approach: when it was time to switch to a new blade I put a new one in both razors, shaved the left half of my face with the Pace3 and the right half with the Mach3 Turbo - honestly, I couldn't tell the difference (even after 24 hours both sides felt comparable). Bottom line: aesthetically, the Mach3 looks nicer but the Pace3 matches it's performance (and, at consistently 34% less per blade, I think I've found my new razor. Thanks

It takes time to get used to the angle of the blade, and flatness of the 3 blade system. Overall shaves better and lasts longer than Mach 3.
It does take time to adjust 3 month user.
Not bad...I'll need to do more tests

I normally use a Mach3, but the blades are rather costly, so I thought I'd try this razor. It's not at all bad. It seems to do a pretty good job at an excellent price. The shaving head itself is on the large side (compared to the Mach3) but works well. I'll be ordering some more when I run out of Mach3 blades.
Not the best but very good for the money

I like the 3 blade system and it gives a very good shave. It's not the name brands but for the money its very, very good.
best deal in shaving

I had been looking for for a good quality shaver at a decent price. The TRA 1000 3 blade shaver was perfect. The handle doesn't feel cheap and cartridges are easy on the skin.
Of course the best part is the tremendous price for both the shaver and the cartridges
Dorco products are 5 Stars for me

I just received my third order from Dorco (incl. a few Xmas gifts), and it's definitely time I take a moment to review them for others to see. I have read negative reviews of these razors here saying they are lower quality and not as good as "name brands." Well, you know what? I think name brands suck and it's a big pricing scam.
Truthfully, when I first used Dorcos I thought maybe they were not as good. As with switching any shaving product, I feel it's a matter of getting used to the handle, the blade, how it performs, etc. It only took a week or two to see the light. I love them.
After having used these for a few months, I gotta tell you that I give them a FIVE STAR rating hands down. They are as good or better than anything else I have ever used. The price and excellent shipping service from Dorco has won me over as a customer forever.
Thank you Dorco for excellent service, and producing a five star product for myself and for my friends.
I'll never buy a razor from the grocery store again

A lot cheaper price but a bit lower quality
Posted by cob on 11/19/2013
Yes, these blades are cheaper but they are not as good as the expensive Gillette blades I had been using. They are a LOT cheaper but not a LOT worse...just somewhat worse. Even if I get a good shave with the Dorco, the next morning I have more whiskers than I used to with my Gillette. I might rather spend the extra money and get a better, easier shave. But, maybe not. The movable head on the Dorco handle is 10x as hard to move as on my Gillette...Dorco should fix that.
Great shave - nice price - excellent value

I've shaved with Gillette's Sensor blades for several decades. But over the years, Gillette has grown very proud of their product and the resulting high price caused me to search out an affordable alternative. I purchased samples of Dorco's 3, 4, and 6 blades designs and all provide an outstanding shave (as good or better than the Sensor). I settled on the 3-blade TRA1000 / TRA 1040 because each cartridge comes with a plastic cover (nice for protecting blades from dings during travel). Glad I ran across this product - it's a keeper.
