Works great and a good value

This razor seems to work just as well as my Hydro 3, and it is a much cheaper alternative but does not seem to be much less, if any in quality to the comparable razor. I will be using this as it saves me money and still gives me a quality shave. Would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a better value 3-blade razor.
Good value, but tight pivot spring, makes it somewhat difficult to get into the "tight" places
Posted by Jim on 6/26/2012
I like the quality and the weight/feel of the handle. I find the blade works well, in what I'll call the "straight-aways" (side of face and under the neck), however the tension on the spring which pivots the blade to the contour of your face, is a bit tight which makes it somewhat more difficult to shave in the tight places, e.g. creases under the lower lip and close to the nostrils. I have a Gillette and Schick with one blade in each and the tension is noticeably less "tense" than the Dorco, making it an easier shave in the tight places. But the value is worth this minus, and I'll just buy a cheap pivot disposable to get into those more difficult spots.
Better than a disposable but not great.

The 3 blade system is ok but doesn't get nearly as close a shave as the mach 3 does, of course, it costs way less than the mach 3 so I guess you do get what you pay for. I thought the razor was ok and probably about the quality that you would expect at this price point. I was hoping it was much better!
Good shave, good price.

I have tried the 3 blade system and it does well. Maybe not as good as the name brand blades but good enough. The head of the shaver is a little more bulkier than I am use to but it is not a problem to use.
My face is smiling

After almost a week of easy shaves, my face is baby ass smooth. This morning, I realized by having the 4 blades as close as they are, nicks are much less likely.
And at the Dorco price, what a deal!!!

Tired of taking out a second mortgage so that you can purchase razor cartridges? Me too. This has got to be one of the biggest rip-offs in the world, so imagine my surprise and pleasure when I ran across Dorco. Clearly, this was a company that had completely eliminated unnecessary overhead - like brand development - and was purely focused on delivering a good product at a good price. I could not be happier with the quality of the handle and blades I purchased - all the more so because it cost a fraction of the price (and I do mean a fraction) of name brand in-store cartridges. So down with crony capitalism and those money-grubbing razor thieves. Hey, it's cool to be a dorc!!! (Well, at least it's economical.)
Head and face shaver my entire adult life!
Posted by Andy Barham on 6/12/2012
Along with shaving my face on becoming an adult, I also started shaving my head at 17. I am now 34. So I would like to think I know a little about shaving and razors.
These heads and handles are made of very high quality and are well worth having them shipped to you.
I am a 3 blade guy, always have been. The two main differences between Mach 3 and Dorco are: 1. The blades are a little closer together on the Mach 3 which does add a little more comfort. 2. Each blade on the Mach are on independent springs as the Dorco are not.
These two minor differences would give the Mach 3 a slight "edge" (no pun intended) against the Dorco. But for the HUGE cost difference, I will never go back to the Mach 3!!! Long Live Dorco!

First time customer. I'm shocked that I'm on my FIFTH shave with blade #1! Superb!

I am a convert. After years of trying to make expensive blades last a fortnight, I am happy that I can get a close shave with very little expense and can change blades with impunity.
Just as good quality but not great. The savings is awesome.
Posted by JMc on 5/24/2012
The savings is phenomenal. I no longer feel guilty replacing my blade or that I need to go without something else to fund my shaving habit.
The head is a little bulky so I have a hard time getting as close a shave. But i have been using the same blades for over 10 years and after a few days I am getting the hang of it.
