Why did I hesitate?
Posted by ToddM on 4/20/2015
I hesitated buying the Dorco system for a while, because I had been loyal to Schick Quattro since it debuted on the market. In my mind, a lower price must mean lower quality, or some sort of catch or gimmick. Furthermore, who has ever heard of a company called "Dorco"? However, Dorco is the real deal. The razor handle and cartridges seem to be of equal build quality to Schick.
The shave is comparable, as well. I have a rather light beard, and shave with Cremo non-lathering shave cream. The Dorco Pace 6 gives me an excellent close shave, and the handle feels just as secure as my old Schick. I had no problems with hair and shave cream clogging up the blades, since it washed away easily.
Don't let the lower price fool you: Dorco is a quality product and a good value. Why is this brand not better known? Folks need to discover it!

Just got my Pace 6 in the mail today. Dorco you have a new customer. I found that the handle was well balanced and had a little more heft than the Gillette. I noticed little difference between the comfort of the Pace 6 and the Fusion. But where the Pace 6 really impressed me was the closeness of the shave. Absolutely superior. Not a bit of stubble left only after pass. I'm very impressed. Thanks for making a great product at a fair price
Not nearly as good as reviews say

I shave both my head and face. I wanted a convenient way to buy razors and also a lower price point. I have been using the Wilkinson Sword branded razors from wal mart, which are a budget razor brand of Shick. They are five bladed razors, the major downfall is the handle, but bring its made by shick the razors fit on a shick handle, which I luckily had.One of the Wilkinson sword blades will get me three shaves of both head and face before it starts to really pull. No razor burn, no cuts. The main problem is finding then at wal mart, they aren't always in stock. First shave with the dorco, yielded a few cuts on my head and horrible razor burn. I have been shaving my head for over 15 years and have only gotten cuts with very cheap razors. Very disappointed in this product. Would have been nice if it lived up to what I have read. Unfortunately for me these razors don't work well.

I have tried every razor on the market! This is a high quality product. The handle is weighty and has a great comfort grip, also very stylish. The blades are incredibly sharp and offer an effortless glide while the lubricating strip offers extra comfort to your shave. Don't be fooled by the great price! This is probably the only instance in your life where your actually getting more for less. I would like to mention that Dorco has amazing customer service as well. Thanks Dorcousa!!
No Kidding, Best Shave I've Ever Had!
Posted by MIKE BRINKERHOFF on 3/2/2015
I hate shaving. But I hate having a beard more, so I try to make the best of it. I'd been hearing ads for Dorco for about a year, and finally decided it was time to go for it. Coming from a Gillette Fusion (don't remember the model, but it was the motorized handle), I was a little concerned that the Dorco product would be good but leave me missing the Fusion.
WAS. I. EVER. WRONG!!!
I have VERY stubborn, very scratchy whiskers. My 5:00 Shadow shows up around noon. Even right after a shave, my face isn't smooth. Or rather, wasn't. The Pace 6+ gets my face so smooth that by lunchtime, it's STILL smooth! You may remember me mentioning that I hate shaving... I actually get a close enough, smooth enough shave now, that I generally only shave every other day. (Stubble, I like... Just not actual beard)
Another concern I had was that with 6 blades so close together, cleaning would be an issue. The Fusion ALWAYS got jammed up after shaving my chin. The only way I could clear it was to set the showerhead on "Jet" and blast it out. That has never happened with the Dorco! This morning, shaving off 4 days of stubble (yay weekend / boo monday) I was amazed that I never had to do anything special to clear out the cartridge - it actually rinses clean like the video on the site shows!
Finally, I was curious (and concerned) about durability. I'm not ridiculously cheap, but I don't like to replace a razor cartridge until it actually needs to be replaced. If it still shaves well, and the lubri-strip is still lubing, it stays to shave another day. This morning was the beginning of week 3 with the Dorco system (still on my first cartridge), and I still can't believe how smooth my face is!
I wish I'd ordered these sooner... but I'm definitely a customer for life!

wow. good stuff. blows away the competition. better. all in a nutshell.

Same blades they use at the Dollar Shave Club, but cheaper here. When "stropped" they last a VERY long time. Been shaving my head for 20 years, I wished I found these sooner, would have saved me tens of thousands of dollars.
Goodbye expensive old razor!

After shopping around for replacement carts for my Gillette Fusion Proglide Power and suffering a recoil at at the cost, I started shopping around for a new razor. A few of my friends are fans of the Dollar Shave Club, and after doing my homework quickly discovered that they were supplied by Dorco, so I took a chance with the Pace 6+ and ordered one, and WOW! It cuts my 3 day stubble in one pass, no nicks or cuts, and leaves my face smoother than my old Gillete ever did. I don't even miss the Power anymore, especially since the replacement cost of carts on this Pace 6+ is a third of the cost of replacement carts for my old Gillette. I am now a Dorco customer for life and just submitted my order for replacement carts as well as a Shai Soft Touch 6 razor for my wife. Thanks Dorco!
All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW!!

I just received the Pace 6+ in the mail today, and since I'm on two days stubble from Fusion Pro-Glide, thought I'd lather up and give it a try! On first pass, I could actually hear the razor going over the stubble, and then made a second pass. Completely quiet! So I moved to the next area of my face, made a first pass, same sound...like you can actually hear the hairs being taken off..and, same as before, second pass over the same area was completely quiet again. I thought to myself "There is NO way that this razor is getting all my stubble in just one pass". Then I decided to check...so moved on to the next area, made one pass, and checked for smoothness. PERFECTLY smooth. I have NEVER been able to get EVERY bit of stubble with just one pass of the Fusion...usually takes 2 or 3 passes to get 'em all! Needless to say, I'm thrilled, since this will cut my shaving time at least in HALF! Afterwards, smooth as butter all around, with no burn or irritation. I will update later about the longevity of the Dorco blade vs. the Fusion Looks like you've got another loyal customer, Dorco. Good Job!!
As good as Fusion
Posted by John on 10/18/2014
I was surprised to read that at least one reviewer felt these blades were inferior to the Fusion. I've been using the Fusion for as long as its ben on the market and I find these Pace 6 plus blades every bit as good. Its taking a little getting use to the different head but that is to be expected as every new blade type will require some adjustments to shaving technique.
