  1. For the price very good

Posted by Arthur Nynas on 11/21/2013

The price point is the main driver here. The blades are nice (better than an electric shaver), but not as nice as the expensive Mach and Fusion. That being said, I will stick with the Dorco because I can't justify the insane jump in price to buy a Mach or Fusion blade for just a little better shave. If you want a better shave for cheap go with a straight razor and buy some witch hazel for your first couple tries!

  2. Very happy with results!

Posted by Shannon Reesor on 11/21/2013

I bought these for my boyfriend who swears by the Hydro 5 razor. He just 'knew' he wasn't going to like this one before he even opened it, but agreed to try it because I wasn't going to leave him until he did! Needless to say, he loves it! Says it's nicer than anything he has tried before. He can't believe the difference in price vs. his old razor. We love both of our Dorco's and can't imagine going back to paying large store prices for less quality razor's!!

  3. Every bit as good if not better than Fusion

    Posted by Geoff on 11/19/2013

I stumbled on to Dorco from a co-worker. Like most guys I was tired of $25 every two months for for Fusion refill cartridges. I was surprised how heavy and well made the handle is. The blades perform as advertised. Close comfortable shave and the best part is I don't have to bang the razor on the sink to clean it. A quick rinse and they're clean. I'll never go back to Fusion again.

  4. Don't waste money on over priced name brands.

Posted by Mark Melendez on 11/19/2013

I had been using a Gillette Fusion ProGlide which while a very good razor was expensive. Even at wholesale stores the replacement blades are over $40 for about 16 blades.

I have been using the Dorco six blade razor for a few days now and can say without hesitation that I will not be going back to the expensive Gillette razors. The 6 blade Dorco shaves just as close and the handle nicer and much heavier.

And you can't beat the price.

  5. Great Value, Good Shave, Some Drag

Posted by Robert Romoff on 11/19/2013

The razor is a good value. It shaves well, and is attractively priced. It tends to drag across the face, however, probably due to the weight of the handle and the number of blades. I am happy with the purchase and bought a number of blades to go with it, but next time I'll try one of the three- or four-bladed models.

  6. IMHO, Better than Fusion!

Posted by Peter V Quaglia on 11/19/2013

I recently returned to wet shaving after almost a decade of electric. I had been shaving my head and face with a Braun 790 until I discovered the Headblade, which is without question the best head shaver I've ever used. Although the Headblade can be used on the face, it is difficult to get a great shave due to the fact that the Headblade device is specifically designed to shave the scalp and is difficult to hold for face shaving. I had a brand new in box (10 year) old Fusion that I broke open, but was less than impressed with the results, and found it to be very irritating. I am not sure if my Fusion was the latest incarnation since it was 10 years old, but it was brand new. Based on the recommendation of a friend I ordered a Dorco Pace 6. I had my first shave this morning. I can honestly say my (face) shave is better and with less irritation than the Fusion at a fraction of the price. I wish Headblade made an adapter for Dorco blades!

  7. Excellent Product

Posted by Chris D on 11/18/2013

Just as good as my Hydro 5's.

  8. Great Razor

Posted by James King on 11/18/2013

I have been looking for a reasonably priced razor for a long time. The 6 blade Dorco razor is as good or better than the more expensive Mach 3 that I had been using.

  9. Excellent

    Posted by Jamie on 11/17/2013

I tossed my Mach 3 for this. Excellent product and very affordable. If you think about the money one spends on cartridges every year, this is the solution to lower that insane amount. Great quality, 6 blades and a trimmer. I've never understood why cartridges are so damn expensive. This is a perfect fit to my budget.

  10. Good but not great

    Posted by Rob on 11/16/2013

Like many here I used a Gillette Fusion ProGlide which is an awesome razor but the price for blades is ridiculous. So I tried the Dorco, because of positive reviews and low cost.

You get what you pay for. The Dorco razor head is too big and thick for me, and does not flex as much as the ProGlide. I found it difficult to get under my nose and the sides of my lips. Granted there is one more blade than the ProGlide but I'd rather have one less blade and a smaller razor head!

The trimmer is extremely uncomfortable - big disappointment. It feels like it is literally ripping the hair out of my sideburns. The ProGlide trimmer is far superior.

The blade release mechanism does not work as it should - you have to put your finger BEHIND the button, not ON the button, and push to get the blade to release.

When my 20 blade supply is gone I will likely either go back to ProGlide or try Harry's even though their blades do not have a trimmer option.
