Well... I'll start off with the fact that my original package came to me missing the shaving cream. USPS noted it was already opened and potentially missing content upon receipt. I mentioned this to Dorco and though it took them a few days to get back with me. I was told a replacement free of charge was en route. What I didn't know, is that they meant immediately, it was there FAST. It is also some of the best cooling shave cream I have ever personally used. I would love to seem them make a shave butter.
Now for the handle and the razor cartridge. The handle is a little light for me, but I am used to the fusion proglide power with flex ball handle. And though I thought the Pace 7 would be able to match the flexball feature for feature, meaning that the cartridge clamp would tilt from side to side in addition to normal up and down traversal. Alas it does not, but that Pace 7 razor is something else.
I was given the impression of it being 30% of the cost of gillette, with up to 80% the performance.
Boy were they wrong. It's something like up to a low 90% range of how well this performs in comparison to gillette. I am super impressed that not only does it not nick, nip, or overall destroy my face. It actually feels nice, even though the lube strip isn't as slick feeling as the prior mentioned brand.
I will also say that because of the way the cartridge is held into the handle it does make for awkward rinsing situations but a few tamps onto the sink from the rubber comb region and the muck is all pulled out easily. Though it never hurts to rinse it before and after this. All in all no matter what shave cream and/or butter medium I use as lube for this little hair chompa, it always glides over relatively well. Regardless of how thick my facial hair is, assuming I'm not letting it get to the point where I would need to use an electric trimmer regardless. Within a stroke or two from cheek to base of neck and the hair is gone. Left with super smooth skin going with the grain. (I don't go against it due to having to wear a respirator at work and going against the grain increases the potential for infection, which is a no-no.)
If you are on the fence, then buy the handle with the two cartridges on its own. Stop messin' about and TRY this beast. It IS worth it, regardless of thick or thin hair. This beastie should do it fer ya.
With love, from Texas!

I've been trying many other razors, including the dollar ones. They're usually good, but this one I have to say shaves the closest. The gel gives your skin a tingly feeling and works very well here is my video review of product plus me shaving https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgtTehzfqYo
Skeptic happily proven wrong!

I ordered the pace 7 because I liked the handle and the special price. I was not expecting to find a difference in shave with a seven blade cartridge and ordered a variety of heads to use with the handle (thank you dorco for the compatible handle-cartridge system). Handle felt nice and heavy and secure in my hand, then I started to shave. Very little resistance, to the point I was not sure if I was cutting much hair. I have sensitive skin and do two passes (both with the grain) with my now garbage can bound mainstream brand razor. When I slathered the cream on for the second pass I was stunned to find out there was no hair left to shave! This 7 blade sceptic has been put in his place! The d-creme is also top notch, although I have never strayed away from the department store canned stuff so I'm no expert on shaving lubricants.
Everything Dorco I've experienced is class. Customer service inquiry, shipping times, handle, cartridges, cream. New, passionate customer!
