WHY NOW "6" BLADES? OK....I DON'T KNOW, BUT THE RESULTS ARE THE BEST SHAVE I HAVE EVER HAD! ELECTRIC SHAVERS DON'T LEAVE MY FACE FEELING CLEAN! YOUR NEW 6 BLADE LEAVES MY FACE = NEW AGAIN! I don't shave every day so I end up replacing my cartridge about once every 2 weeks. This means that buying in bulk is perfect for me because I only have to worry about it once a year. $23 once a year for 24 cartridges is pretty good. I also didn't notice a difference between these and others like gillette fusion. If anything these are a little better. Try ordering the SXA1000 handle that comes with 2 cartridges for $7.74 shipped if you're curious.

I don't know yet how long the blades will last, but they seem to be about the same as the Gillete that I had been using. I didn't like the blade holder at first because I was unused to the way it hinged (my Gillete was stiff)but I am getting used to it. The cost of the blades is the great appeal, about 80 cents for a 6-blade cartridge. I had been spending about $2.70 for the same type of cartridge at Costcos
