Dorco 3 blade cartridge

Posted by Robert l. Smith on 10/10/2013

Two weeks ago my Dorco razor and cartridges arrived. I may never know how I like the 2-blade, 4-blade, and 6-blade cartridges as I have been using one 3-blade cartridge every day and it is still as sharp as when I started.

Okay blade

I noticed a little drag on the new blade that I normally don't get with a major market brand but the cost along with the shave seems to be okay enough to purchase more.

Best razor for the money anywhere.

I was surprised and pleased with the Dorco razors. They are better than anything else out there.

Not as good as I hoped

I'm happy with the price, and the shave is comparable to that of Dorco's competitors, but what I didn't like is when shaving my neck I didn't feel it contoured to my neck, and the blade was too thick to get under my nostrils too.

This is how it should be

The handle and blades are great. They work as well if not better than big overpriced names. I'm going to save a bunch of money and not lose ANY value. Only difference from Mach 3 is slight angle change..but once you find it and get the blades onto your face..awesome. The lube strip is better to..glides easier.
These days things are promised and not delivered so this was a nice deal for me and I'm glad I found it.
To top it off the owner of Dorco sends a "thanks for your business note" with a coupon!?!? Wow. I've been telling everyone I know..it's a winner.

Great

Best that I have ever used, was tired of being ripped off. My skin would turn red and blotchy after 1st or second use because the blades would dull. I have no use for the oily skin cream any more , smooth as silk after six to eight uses. My wife used the 3blade set and instantly fell in love. Smoother and no rash.

Razor Blades

I have used the razor blades several time and it still has not dulled. Great value!

3 is good but 4 is better

I bought both the 3 and 4 blade to see which i liked better and I found the 4 to be better for my beard. my suggestion is if blades you have tried in the past did not satisfy you, buy 1 pack of 3,4 or 6 blades system. I think one of them will make you very happy, and the cost is so low, that makes it easy to try out each, before your normal purchase

Does the job well, but you might as well go for the 4

After having a chance to use the three, four and six blade razors from Dorco, I have to say that you really can't go wrong with any of them.

The Pace3 cartridges work at least as well as the Sensor 3. As far as shave quality goes, I'd rank them on par with Shick's Hydro 3. The Mach 3 still seems to be a little bit better when it comes to comfort. The Dorco is hardly painful to use, but you do feel the shave a bit more with it. It doesn't have a "trimming" blade like the Pace6, but the cartridge is slim enough not to need it.

The Pace3 easily lasts through ten saves (about two weeks). It could last longer, depending on how tough your beard is and whether you use shaving gel, lotion or soap, etc.

I can only think of two negatives with the Pace3. First, while all Dorco cartridges fit all Dorco handles, the same can not be said for the trays that hold those cartridges. I started with the six-blade razor, so that's the handle I'm using. You can clip the spare six- and four-blade cartridges to the back of the handle's tray, but the tray that holds the three blade cartridges is just too small.

The second problem is that there's really no reason to choose the Pace3 over the Pace4. Tthe Pace4 shaves a bit better, takes fewer strokes, is more comfortable and seems to last a bit longer than the Pace3. In other words, it's just a little bit better all around, and only costs $1.00 more.

Bottom line: If your face isn't particularly sensitive and you want to save every bit you can, the Pace3 does its job well. But if you can spare the extra dollar, you'll probably be happier with the Pace4.

Better then Schick or Gillette

Or any of the very, very over priced blades. The blades are very sharp and last a long time.

Excellent product.

Close shaves, no nicks, cleans easily and lasts just as long, if not longer, than the overpriced brands like Gillette and Schick.

Better than Mach3

Posted by Bolillo on 4/3/2013

I was used to using Mach3 blades, went to Walmart and could not find anyone to unlock the razor box so I went home and ordered these. much better shave at a much lower cost, awesome!!
