4blade review

Posted by George D Plews on 12/20/2012

very good takes a little getting use to

I use schick 4 blade these are better!

Posted by Tim Sheritt on 12/12/2012

The blades last longer than my schick 4 blade razor! I won't be switching back!

Super solid razor with a super pricetag.

Posted by Jake on 11/26/2012

Works just aswell as the competitor brands that I had been paying more for over the years.

Replacement cartridges are insanely cheap.

The only downside I have noticed is the angle at which the razor sits on the handle is different than most brands. You have to hold the handle at more of a downward angle to get the same shaze, A minor inconvenience.

Good Value, Slightly Slower Shave

Posted by mO on 11/19/2012

Im rating the 4 blade system 4 stars, 1 star off just for not lasting as long as the other major brands. Shaving is very similar but you must use the old school approach of short and quick strokes to avoid nicks and keep the pain to a minimum. The odd handle curve takes a little time to get use to and re-positioning your hand makes alot of difference in cut. The savings alone make this a great buy and i will re-order once im out. The 6 blade system sounds interesting but my beard is so thick im doubtful it would work.

This is coming from an extremely hairy guy. ive been shaving a dense beard since i was 13. If gillette/schick/bic or dorco needed a blade tester, i would probably win the interview. Just a few weekends ago i shaved 4 times in 2 days so i wouldn't look like a homeless person at the wedding i was attending.

Great product

Coming from disposables (Bic Metal), I was ready to switch to DE for the cleaner shave, but decided to give this a try because of the reasonable price.

This system gave me the cleanest shave I've ever had! I'm quite happy with the price, and build quality is just great. I also tried the 3-bladed model from Dorco and found it to feel flimsier and give a less smooth shave. Go with this one, you won't regret it.

Just be careful with the plastic holder/dock for the handle. If you drop it, the clips on it break quite easily.

Beats the hell out of Gelite Fusion

Posted by P.M. Fiedler on 10/29/2012

Found your product to be as good if not better than Fusion and with them raising their prices it has come to be unaffordable to buy. I hope your prices stay as is and rest assured I will endorse your razor and blades to my FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

It's actually too many blades...

Posted by Daniel on 10/24/2012

I'd been using a razor with fewer blades and figured moving to one with more would be even better. More is always better, right?! Not in this case. I find the cartridges with 4 blades "too big" to shave with. Like it's hard to get under my nose, because the top of cartridge hits the bottom of my nose and I can't get high enough. Also, it's just unwieldy I think. Next time I'm getting less blades, and hopefully a smaller head.

Build quality was perfectly fine, order was as expected, and so on. So it's just a personal preference. I'm not trashing these things, they're just not working out for me as well as I'd hoped.

I'm truly impressed

I have been looking for an alternative to the expensive Mach3 I used to use. The Dorco Pace 4 blade system is the perfect replacement. It provides a quality shave at an excellent price. I love the weight of the handle, however the curve takes some getting used to. Dorco you have a new customer. Great Job. I will tell everyone I know.

Great prodct

Overall Best Value

Posted by Bob Barker on 9/4/2012

I learned of this product after researching dollarshaveclub. I've been using the 4 blade system for about a week and overall I am impressed. Some of the things I like are: 1. The price is far superior to anything else of competitive quality on the market. 2. The Handle weight and anti-slip design. 3. The 4-blade system. 4. Angled so that it is difficult to cut yourself. Some areas of improvement include 1. The curved shape of the handle makes it difficult to use without practice. 2. Blades do not spring individually like on other products on the market. 3. Head is more bulky than I like. This makes it hard to trim areas. 4. Does not shave as close as other products. I need to shave both with and against the grain to obtain a close shave. I would say it is an competitive product with the best overall value.

The blades seem to shave as good as any name brand blade I have used in the past, espically for the price. I will buy them again and keep using them. My wife is going to order them for herself next based upon my experience. The handle is just as good as the blade also. Love the savings and versatility of being able to switch blades using the same handle Dorco.

Better than Gillette Mach 3

Posted by Mark on 8/31/2012

I have used this product for a month now and am very pleased with it. So far each blade has lasted two weeks, which is about the same as the Gillette blades I normally use. The handle is very nice and heavy. I have recommended it to all my friends.
